Job Description

The Internal Audit Summer Internship is a 10 to 12-week program designed to provide hands-on experience in auditing practices and risk assessment processes. As an Internal Audit Intern, you will play an active role in evaluating internal controls, improving risk management processes, and achieving organizational goals. This internship is open to students in Fort Worth, TX or Northern Virginia areas.

  • Assisting in planning and executing internal audit engagements, including risk assessments and process walkthroughs
  • Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide insights on risks, controls, and processes
  • Conducting testing of internal controls and preparing detailed work papers to document audit findings
  • Identifying and evaluating potential findings, and providing recommendations to improve efficiency and mitigate risks
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and gaining exposure to various aspects of the business

Qualifications

  • Current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Risk Management or related fields
  • Must be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
  • Must be available to work full-time during the summer internship period (10–12 weeks)
  • Must be a US citizen

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interest or basic understanding of audit processes, internal controls, and risk management
