Jr. Applications Developer

As a Jr. Application Developer, you will be assisting with the design, development, and engineering of software solutions using SQL stored queries, procedures, functions, views, and triggers, HTML, Java script, CSS and Java for web development.  You will support development and communicating weekly status reports, assisting in providing demonstrations of code and contributing to other team efforts whenever required. Assisting with the development of production Software Development Plans (SDP), Preliminary Design Documents (PDD), and Software Design Documents.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two years of experience or 3 yrs experience with no degree
  • 1-2 years of experience of Java development and unit/integration testing of code.
  • Experience with build tools including Ant and Maven a plus
  • Experience with CM tools including SVN and Git a plus.
  • U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position
  • Live within 1 hour of Wright Patterson AFB

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence a plus.
  • Good oral and written communications skills with experience in delivering/presenting to the customer are a plus.  
  • Experience with API calls a plus
  • Mobile development experience a plus

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit for extended periods of time; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell. Use of phone and PC or laptop. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment:

  •  This position is performed in a home office environment.  

       

Compensation Details:

$100,000 - $104,000

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
