The Logistics Clerk Lead coordinates activities of workers relating to receiving, issuing, and shipping materials by performing the duties and responsibilities outlined below. Has operational and fiscal accountability for inventory as it relates to accuracy within the Union III program. The Logistics Clerk Lead will report to the Property Manager.
The role of Logistics clerk lead is to provide leadership to the Receiving and Inventory section within the Logistics Department on Union III. Manage all processes relating to the receipt, accounting and transfer of U.S. DOD assets and materials. Other duties include but are not limited to maintenance of the receiving and inventory area, to ensure it is a safe, clean and orderly. Coordination and processing all Return to Vendor merchandise which were received either damaged or not being correct as requested.

DUTIES:
Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation
Work independently with minimal supervision under the direction of the Site Manager.
Work closely with vendors to ensure accurate and on time delivery of goods to appropriate locations
Maintain databases and records relating to but not limited to purchases, shipping documents, and diplomatic notes
Maintains contacts with vendors/suppliers to ensure proper adherence to the terms and conditions outlined in the Purchase Order and associated terms and conditions
Maintain all documents, correspondance and trackers relating to Diplomatic Notes, customs and shipping.
Effectively understand, apply and be able to enforce FAR requirements throughout the Logistics process.
Receive and inventory incoming materials, supplies and equipment.
Prepare Material Deficiency Reports relating to incoming shipments.
Maintain a current inventory of all materials, supplies and equipment which has not been issued to end users within the project.
Supervise and train personnel within the Inventory and Receiving section.
Issue materials, supplies and equipment to authorized end-users and requestors.
Ability to work with minimal supervision & manage under stress to meet obligations.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Assist the Site Manager with the operation of the Logistics Department as needed.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED:
Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:
Three years' progressive experience in a high volume, multi-unit receiving/inventory or logistics supply management environment. Supervisory Experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have ability to clearly and concisely articulate requirements verbally and in writing
Must be able to articulate in a clear and concise manner with Management and customer on a daily basis.
The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must have the ability to compute rate vs. ratio percentages as well as understand how inventory affects company’s contractual obligations.
Candidate must be able to demonstrate analytical skills, researching skills
Candidate must possess the ability to efficiently and effectively perform the technical requirements.
Position requires a working knowledge of systems particularly in relation to accurate inventory management; this will include word processing, spreadsheets and other programs necessary for a comprehensive accounting of inventory stock levels.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize effectively and work with a sense of urgency.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
Education: BS/BA or equivalent year job experience. Must be highly Proficient in MS-Office Suites (specifically Excel,power point, and Word)
Passport, Licenses and Certifications: As part of pre-contingency requirements, at the time of applying, candidates must possess a valid passport of home country (or have started the process of obtaining one) with a minimum of 18 months remaining to expiration date with 8 blank pages. Valid drivers’ license. Forklift License.
Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures.
Medical: Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for deployment to Iraq. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment.

Relevant overseas contracting experience.

WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS:
This position may be located in a war zone, in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 120- 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50-55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to Iraq for extended periods. Work schedules are a minimum of 6 days per week and 10 hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
