Amentum is seeking a Manager of Security Operations to join our team in West Palm Beach, FL to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Role:
Amentum is seeking an experienced leader to oversee security operations at two primary locations: West Palm Beach, Florida and Andros Island, Bahamas. This role will manage the day-to-day security operations while ensuring compliance with applicable government laws and regulations and corporate policy and standards. The individual will lead and support a team, providing guidance and development to employees at various levels. The person will be responsible for maintaining security operations, meeting sponsor security requirements and delivering quality service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure effective, compliant, and efficient security operations.
Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement long-term operational plans that support organizational growth and performance objectives.
Communicate organizational updates, policies, and procedural changes to management and staff while maintaining transparency and team engagement.
Continuously evaluate operational processes and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, accountability, and service delivery.
Ensure safe, compliant work environment and adherence to all applicable regulatory and government requirements.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with department leaders, government partners, and clients to support operational coordination ad high levels of customer service.
Lead recruitment, training, and development of key personnel while fostering a positive, professional organizational culture.
Partner with finance and operations leadership to manage budgets, monitor performance, and support operational forecasting.
Oversee internal audits and compliance review to ensure adherence to organizational policies and government regulations.
Comply with all applicable requirements of the AUTEC PWS.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum of ten (10) years of related experience working in the military or commercial industrial security or similar environments will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Proven ability to lead complex and remote security teams while partnering with leadership to drive long-term operational planning and organizational growth.
Strong track record of evaluating and improving business processes, implementing policies, and driving efficiency while maintaining high standards of discipline. – MUST BE ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY DRIVE POSTIVE AND MEANINGFUL CHANGE.
Exceptional ability to build trusted partnerships with internal leaders, government stakeholders, and vendors while ensuring seamless coordination across departments.
Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, auditing processes, and risk management with a commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and high-performing work environment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Lenel OnGuard program for badging and hardware troubleshooting.
Experience with PowerBi and departmental budgeting.
5 years or more of experience working in a secure government environment responsible for the handling and protection of classified assets and media.
Compensation Details:
$125,000 - $135,000
