Role Title: Marketing and Communications Adviser 

Role Description: We are currently looking for a Marketing and Communications Adviser to join our team on a casual basis. In this role you will support the Senior Manager Marketing and Communications to develop content and implement a marketing and communications strategy aligned to the Amentum brand and values that will directly support growth in Australia and the Asia-Pacific. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support the development and delivery of a marketing strategy that engages our target audiences, including print and digital advertising; news and feature articles; social media; conference and trade show coordination; sponsorships, partnerships and related event coordination; and capability statement development.
  • Support the development and delivery of multi-channel internal and external communications, including newsletters; all-staff messages; all-hands meetings (both virtual and in-person); SharePoint administration and development; media releases; media liaison; web content development; video production; and internal and external award submissions.
  • Write and edit content for multiple print and digital channels, both internal and external.
  • Use graphic design software to produce professional-quality digital content, including layout, design and photo editing while adhering to strict branding guidelines.
  • Conduct interviews with senior leaders and employees to produce news and feature articles for internal and external publication.
  • Liaise confidently and maintain positive relationships with senior leaders both in Australia and globally, managers, staff, customers, contractors and other organisations.
  • Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communications or significant related work experience.
  • Minimum10 years’ professional experience.
  • Highly developed news writing and editorial skills with a demonstrated ability to turn complex content into plain English.
  • Highly proficient using the Adobe Creative suite, specifically InDesign and Photoshop, as well as the full Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate effectively as part of a diverse and geographically dispersed team.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the Australian Defence environment.

Location: Remote

Weekly Hours: 10 hours per week
