For its office in Saint Paul les Durance, Amentum is seeking motivated mechanical supervisors who are ready to make a difference by supporting the delivery of the ITER Fusion Project. Key responsibilities:

The Key duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Construction Field Engineer are:

Ensures that the site construction activities are executed safely

Leads by example as a safety role model to all parties

Supervises the execution of the construction work scope through construction and mechanical completion, handover to the pre-commissioning team, pre-commissioning activities and final handover to the operations team at start up

Ensures that the construction work is properly identified, performed safely and efficiently with proper respect to all legal, regulatory and customer requirements.

Manages contractors activities to ensure optimum work scheduling and execution

Assists contractor to secure approval of PTW applications

Assists contractor to secure delivery of materials made available at the work face in time to meet construction ROS dates

Supervises cross site support services including scaffolding, lifting and handling

Monitors and coordinates site construction activities through daily involvement at site

Minimises site construction risk by identifying risks and ensuring mitigation strategies are deployed

Performs witnessing of ITP sampling and hold points

Ensures contractors Inspection and Test records are loaded to the Smart Plant completions mgt system

Ensures auditable implementation of Nuclear safety PIA and PIC at site

To participate in direct coordination activities as and when required as per the Site Coordinator Job Description


Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have at least five years of experience and be proficient in English.
 Candidates with experience in industrial projects, such as Oil & Gas or Power, are encouraged to apply.

Your Profile:
- Certificate of Professional Competence (CAP), Professional Baccalaureate (Bac Pro), BTS, DUT, or a similar qualification. A bachelor's or master’s degree in mechanical engineering is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus).
