Role Description:
Training experts to develop a training and execute a training plan leveraging the current training team’s material to take on the role of regionally based on site trainers. Ongoing they will need to support the adoption of training in intelligence schools and support march in training at sites.


Training resources will provide training delivery services on location to primary users of the Wagardi capability. Trainers will be initially required to attend Defence Plaza Melbourne to gain knowledge of the system/s that will be utilised for the training.

Upon completion of this phase, trainers will be based in locations where major user populations are located but will be required to travel to other locations to provide training Services (i.e. Each trainer will likely be allocated a geographic zone of responsibility, likely to be Brisbane, Canberra, and Adelaide, that encompasses a number of Defence locations). Trainers will be employed on a full-time basis initially.  

Once a Training Plan has been developed and Approved by the Commonwealth, trainers will then be utilised as per the Approved Training Plan with the expectation of them initially being utilised on a full-time basis.  

Training Services will include face to face training on the Wagardi system and potentially on-site end user support to assist with development of users’ competence with Wagardi and to ensure they gain the most benefit from employing it.

  • Prepare or customise and deliver learning activities and the learning environment for a variety of audiences.
  • Teach, instruct, train students/learners to develop knowledge, techniques and skills using appropriate methods, tools, online environments, equipment and materials. 
  • Oversee students/learners in performing practical activities and work, advising and assisting where necessary, and ensuring that maximum learning benefit is gained from the practical experience. 
  • Develop examples and case study material for use in predefined courses.
  • Provide on-site end user support.
