The Army Aviation Production Control/Maintenance Supervisor advises the Site Manager on technical matters and leads a mission focused maintenance effort. Manages assigned resources necessary to accomplish the mission. Controls maintenance through leads and supervisors.  Responsibilities differ only in degree and are common and applicable to all maintenance functions.

  • Provides overall leadership and guidance to maintenance supervisors in carrying out the functions of planning, scheduling, implementation and control of aviation maintenance missions per the PWS.

  • Reviews work of maintenance supervisors assigned to the program for technical accuracy, effectiveness, and compliance with standard.

  • Within area of responsibility develops and directs maintenance workload plans and issues induction schedules.

  • Negotiates workload programs via the Government work loading system and with higher Government headquarters. Negotiates and accommodates changes in current year programs considering man-hours, facilities, and cost constraints.

  • Ensures that the Government Oversight for maintenance operations is kept informed through appropriate channels on the status of pre-induction maintenance plans, programs, and problems.

  • Works closely with production support shop personnel to establish planning milestones and to coordinate preparation for the establishment of maintenance capability for new or improved military aircraft systems and components.

  • Is responsible for planning, scheduling, managing, and coordinating a variety of projects assigned to area of operations for overhaul and repair, modification, check, and test, calibration and certification, or other related aviation maintenance of aircraft, engines, components, and assemblies in support of PWS missions.

  • Reviews production instructions and/or other work documents locally developed by production support shops for adequacy and completeness based on knowledge and capabilities of maintenance production elements. Reviews and analyzes programs and work requirements.  

  • Recommends to the Government and coordinates changes in material provisioning for and scheduling of input into production shops considering effects of such factors as man-hours available, status of reparable assets on hand or in process, funding requirements, progress of work-flow sequence, number, types, availability of tools and equipment, and other related matters.

  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.

  • Five (5) years Aviation maintenance experience.

  • Five (5) years Rotary wing aircraft experience (U60, AH64, CH47).

  • All experience must be within the Ten (10) most recent years.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work site.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates Degree Preferred.

  • Valid and up to date A&P license.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are required. 

  • Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is $85K.
