Amentum is seeking a Security Lieutenant for the Las Vegas, NV area.

Primary Function:

The Security Lieutenant leads and manages all physical security operations, ensuring the successful development, implementation, and continuous oversight of a comprehensive security program. This includes directing security personnel, managing resources and equipment, oversee training, and establishing critical operational procedures to safeguard assets and personnel. The Security Lieutenant actively supports and upholds the Company’s stated vision, mission, and values.

Essential Functions:

Leadership & Personnel Management:

  • Direct, lead, and mentor subordinate security personnel, fostering a culture of professionalism, high morale, continuous improvement, and strict adherence to established standards of conduct and discipline.

  • Ensure all security personnel are properly trained, equipped, and prepared to effectively perform their assigned duties.

  • Determine work priorities, schedule assignments, and oversee daily operations to ensure timely and successful mission accomplishment.

Operational Oversight & Compliance:

  • Ensure strict compliance with all contractual requirements, company policies, procedures, standards, and applicable Air Force regulations (i.e., AFI 31-117).

  • Manage and enforce all physical security measures, including access control, asset protection, and safety protocols.

  • Enforce a proactive safety culture, ensuring strict adherence to all weapons, vehicles, and ground safety standards and regulations

  • Maintain proper accountability, maintenance, of all assigned security equipment, property, and controlled assets (i.e., vehicles, supply/ammunition storage, keys).

Incident Management & Response:

  • Oversee, direct, and ensure effective response and execution for all security incidents, safeguarding personnel, property, and assets.

  • Provide timely and accurate notification and reporting of all security incidents to senior leadership.

Documentation & Quality Assurance:

  • Develop, prepare, and revise essential security documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Operating Instructions (OIs), Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), and Training Plans.

  • Maintain accurate and timely record management systems pertaining to all security operations.

  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of daily/weekly timecards, adhering to all established company policies

  • Perform qualitative reviews and corrections of all security reports/incidents and forms prior to submission to ensure accuracy and completion.

Communication & Employee Engagement:

  • Conduct daily briefings to communicate operational directives, threat assessments, and heightened security requirements.

  • Maintain consistent and effective communication with subordinate personnel, identifying and resolving operational issues, and ensuring overall effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

  • Act as Amentum’s primary security representative, providing briefings to customers/clients and supporting business development opportunities as required.

Additional Duties:

  • Perform additional duties or assignments as directed by management in support of contractual obligations.

Mandatory Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of proven supervisory experience in a security leadership role, such as:

    • Law Enforcement,

    • Military (E-6 equivalent or higher).

    • Private Security Organization/Contractor.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance.

  • Demonstrated expertise in the planning, evaluation, analysis, and implementation of multiple security programs, including but not limited to personnel protection, emergency response, and guard force management.

  • Ability to effectively convey critical security information, policies, and procedures to diverse audiences, including executives, clients, and employees, ensuring understanding and compliance

  • Must comply with AFI 31-117, Arming and Use of Force by Air Force Personnel, 17 March 2015.

  • Possess a valid U.S Driver's License.

  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written).

  • Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive medical evaluation.

  • Ability to meet and maintain all physical requirements as dictated by project demands.

  • Ability to pass and maintain a detailed background investigation as required by contract.

  • If prior military, Honorable Discharge is required.

Compensation Details:

$115,000.00-$125,000.00
