Mission Statement At Amentum, we are dedicated to advancing the capabilities and safety of the U.S. Army through comprehensive support at the West Desert Test Center (WDTC), located within the Dugway Proving Ground in Utah. As a pivotal testing hub under the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, our mission is to conduct rigorous evaluations of chemical and biological defense systems, as well as incendiary and smoke/obscuration munitions systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of effectiveness and reliability. We also extend our expertise to support a broad spectrum of non-CB assessments for the Department of Defense and other federal entities, encompassing environmental assessments, impact evaluations, and munitions demilitarization.
Since our establishment in 2004 through the Field, Range, Chamber, and Laboratory Support Services contract, Amentum has fostered a strong partnership with Mellor Engineering, TOPE, and JRAD, creating a specialized team of over 170 professionals. Together, we are committed to delivering superior testing and support services, enhancing the operational readiness and safety of military personnel and equipment.
Our Dugway Operation was established in 2004 with the award of the Field, Range, Chamber, and Laboratory Support Services (FRC&LSS) contract to Jacobs. Through the FRC&LSS contract, we have integrated with Mellor Engineering, TOPE, and JRAD with a composite staff size of more than 170 personnel.
