Our NORAD Operations Group



Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).



Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:

Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.

Mitigation of orbital conflicts.

Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.

Operations and maintenance of classified communications.

Software development and integration.



NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:

Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado

Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado

Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska

Vandenberg Space Force Base, California

Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world





Description of Duties:



The Senior Front-End Developer supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:

• Provide technical leadership to a team of software developers and DevSecOps engineers.

• Review existing applications and their associated requirements.

• Develop Graphic User Interfaces (GUIs) for C2 applications.

• Attend and contribute to Agile team meetings to include daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

• Write high-quality, secure desktop and web-based UIs.

• Review software scan results and adjudicates findings.

• Develop and execute unit test cases.

• Create high-quality software documentation, to include, but not limited to, Software User Manuals, Software Design Documents, Software Installation Manuals, and Interface Control Specifications.

• Work with clients to develop the overall look and design of a UI.

• Test UIs for ease of use, speed and other quality factors.

• Fix UI issues or bugs that arise.

• Collaborate with other front-end and back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting.

• Mentor junior developers.

This position will be filled and work onsite at Colorado Springs, Colorado

Basic Requirements:

• Must have NISSC II experience within the last year.

• Must have 9 years or more of general work experience

• Must have 8 years or more of directly related IT experience

• Experience designing, implementing, and sustaining desktop and/or web-based UI applications

• Must have previous experience developing CCIC2S applications.

• IAT II Certified (ie Sec+) within 60 days of start date

• Secret Security Clearance is Required

• Experience developing application front-ends using REACT, AngularJS, or other JavaScript-based web frameworks

• Proficiency in website programming languages such as HTML, CSS, Typescript, and JavaScript

• Ability to use client input to create functional, creative and user-friendly webpages

• Experience developing technical solutions to meet defined requirements

• Must have experience with JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages

• Experience working within an Agile development team and completing tasks on-time

• Experience integrating application code into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) DevSecOps pipelines

• Experience utilizing Static Code Analysis (SCA) tools and adjudicating vulnerabilities

Desired Requirements:

• Detailed oriented

• Understanding of Docker containers and Kubernetes

• Experience migrating monolithic applications to a microservices architecture

• Experience developing microservices using Java Spring and Spring Boot

• Experience in Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration Environments.

• Experience developing application code for deployment to a Kubernetes environment.

• Experience working with DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing) tools

This position is expected to pay $165,000-$175,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
