Position Summary

The Site Security Manager (SSM) serves as the on-site security lead responsible for overseeing daily security operations supporting secure construction projects. Acting as the primary liaison between the customer, Regional Security Manager (RSM), construction teams, and security personnel, the SSM ensures compliance with ICD 705 requirements, customer security standards, and project-specific security procedures. The SSM provides direct supervision of Construction Surveillance Technicians (CSTs) and Access Control Specialists (ACSs) while actively participating in construction surveillance activities and site security operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-site lead for all security operations supporting secure construction activities.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of CSTs and other assigned security personnel.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer security representatives and provide regular project updates to company and customer management.
  • Ensure all security operations are conducted in accordance with ICD 705 requirements, customer security standards, and established site procedures.
  • Conduct construction surveillance activities to identify security vulnerabilities, unauthorized materials, technical penetrations, and construction deficiencies.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation to verify compliance with approved security requirements.
  • Monitor construction personnel, contractors, tools, equipment, and materials entering or operating within secure construction areas.
  • Conduct routine site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with security procedures and construction security requirements.
  • Maintain daily activity reports, incident reports, audit documentation, personnel accountability records, and customer-required reporting.
  • Investigate, document, and report security incidents, violations, anomalies, and construction-related security concerns.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules, coverage requirements, training activities, and personnel assignments to ensure uninterrupted site operations.
  • Mentor, train, and evaluate security personnel to ensure adherence to performance standards and customer expectations.
  • Support customer audits, inspections, accreditation activities, and project closeout requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with project management, construction teams, customer representatives, and regional leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in security operations, construction surveillance, physical security, military security, law enforcement, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience managing security personnel and site operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
  • Strong understanding of physical security principles, access control procedures, and construction security requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing reports and customer-facing documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, reporting systems, tablets, and electronic documentation platforms.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST), CST Lead, Site Security Manager, or similar role supporting secure construction projects.
  • Working knowledge of ICD 705 standards, SCIF construction requirements, and Intelligence Community security regulations.
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), AWS, Microsoft, or other secure construction programs.
  • Knowledge of construction trades including electrical, HVAC, telecommunications, mechanical systems, and general construction practices.
  • Prior military experience in security, intelligence, construction, engineering, or force protection disciplines.

Compensation Details:

US: $20.00 - $40.00
