The JETS II contract is seeking a
Spaceflight Hardware Project and Task Order Manager to join the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary interface with NASA customers for assigned task orders
Track budgets, labor hours, and support financial reporting requirements
- Manage day-to-day task order performance, ensuring technical, schedule, and cost objectives are met
- Work with the customer to define the Scope to input into the TO at the beginning of the fiscal years and update the TO as needed throughout the year if budget or scope changes
- Work directly on weekly basis with PM's and leads to anticipate any significant changes in work or charges to a project
- Provide Variance reports to the customer monthly
- Provide Monthly reports to customer Branch Chiefs which includes monthly spending, EAC's, projects staff loading, remaining budget, remaining budget at end of FY
- Create reporting data formats that communicate well with the particular customer needs
- Oversee staffing, onboarding, and workforce alignment in coordination with company leadership
- Conduct routine customer project reviews for cost, schedule, risk management, and deliverable adherence
- Maintain active risk management (technical, cost, and schedule) on all projects and work functions
- Provide Basis of Estimate (BOE) support for incoming new work
- Ensure compliance with contractual, audit, safety, and quality requirements
- Collaborate with technical leads, functional managers, and subcontractors to ensure effective execution
- Prepare and deliver Monthly status reports, briefings, and performance metrics to NASA and contract stakeholders including monthly spending, EAC's, projects staff loading and remaining budget
- Develop, manage and monitor cost plans, estimates, and actuals
- Perform other duties as required
Requisition Qualifications:This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.
- Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and normally possess 5-10 years of related experience
- 5+ years of project, program, or task order management experience in aerospace, engineering services, or government contracting
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and technical performance
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with customers and multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills and strong customer service attitude with a history of effectively interacting with senior managers at all levels
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with minimal supervision
- High organizational skills with high level of attention to detail
- Must be local to the JSC area and willing to work offsite at Amentum building and onsite at Johnson Space Center
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools
Requisition Preferences:
- A bachelor's degree in Business or Project Management may be considered dependent on relevant experience
- Experience supporting NASA contracts or similar government task order environments
- Prior leadership experience with staff management and customer engagement
- PMP or other project management certification
- Familiarity with Smartsheet
- Familiarity automating workflows

Essential Functions Work Environment Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Equipment and Machines Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
Attendance Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
