The Supply MANAGER provides leadership and directs supply chain employee activities. Plans and coordinates the ordering and distribution of products, parts, and accessories and is responsible for a variety of supply management tasks which includes inventory control, storage management, distribution, cataloging, purchasing, part and tool identification, and supply reports using assigned management information system and other related activities as required by contract.
Ensure the successful operation of the logistics department to include Supply Support Operations, Requisition Processing, Inventory, Hazardous Material Management, Research and Cataloging, Purchasing and Acquisition, Receiving, Warehousing, , Equipment Management and Administrative Support Services.
Manage staff and resources for the logistics function.
Enforce operating standards and policies for the department.
Collaborates with program management to establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure effective logistics program operations to support the initiatives and directives of the customer.
Evaluate and recommend new initiatives and methodology in the logistics area based on requirements and priorities.
Participate with the customer to assist in supporting the strategic direction of the logistics department.
Act as the liaison with the customer for planning, implementing, and coordinating logistics initiatives to include distribution and turn in of excess property.
Ensure proper logistics support is maintained, and problems are identified and resolved.
Provide ASTS/GCSS-Army oversight.
Audit current processes and procedures, make on-the-spot corrections, and recommend improvements.
Processes customer requests and provides supplies, parts and equipment support.
Manages priority/routine requests, and inquiring processing.
·Performs all required research to ensure material, parts and equipment ordered meet equipment specialist, commodity and/or end-item Technical Order specification.
· Monitors and processes Due-in From Maintenance (DIFM) assets to ensure items are promptly turned in and annotated in the Supply System.
Performs the supply function of the Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) program.
Manages Bench Stock, Shop Stock, Safety Stock, Work Order Residue and Hold-bin accounts.
·Manages equipment allowance standards (AS) reports and acquisition initiatives and equipment turn in.
Conducts supply inventories and ensures proper stock is available in correct quantities to minimize disruptions to operations.
Ensure required materials and parts are ordered, received, stored, and issued in sufficient time to allow completion of work within contract specifications. Ensure all inventories remain accurate and adjustments are minimized. Ensure non-conforming material and parts are correctly processed to prevent re-use.
Follow established purchasing procedures and recommend changes where necessary.
Purchase materials, parts, and equipment to ensure the best value is obtained and that operational criteria are met.
Purchase equipment as directed by management.
Utilize the AmentumMRO supply system, Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army), Aircraft Notebook (CAN), and other applicable automated supply systems.
Manage the Automated Inventory System and any replacement system in accordance with applicable directives.
Perform all essential tasks as related to directives in the contractual Performance Work Statement.
Preferred experience with Property Book
Manages the accountability of all unit equipment and supplies.
Reviews and evaluates operations and anticipates needs; analyzes data and makes recommendations to ensure accountability; develops budgets and purchases new inventory; maintains an effective supply discipline program.
Coordinates with Managers and other logistics specialists; purchases and maintains supplies; processes and follows up on transactions; schedules and maintains inventories; ensures adequate supplies.
Collects and returns worn-out and damaged supplies and equipment.
Perform other duties as requested.
Minimum Requirements:
Solid communication and mathematical skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (at a minimum Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Five (5) years of aviation maintenance supply experience.
One (1) year experience planning and leading logistics management.
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Must be able to work long hours and be exposed to weather and hazardous conditions.
Driver's License
GCSS-Army or applicable service supply STAMIS experience.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Preferred Requirements:
Ten (10) or more years of aviation maintenance supply experience.
U.S. Army 92Y MOS trained.
Thorough understanding of U.S. Army supply chain discipline.
In depth knowledge of company supply systems operation, terminology, procedures, and typical automated supply systems operation.
In depth knowledge of Government Property Management.
Working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
Possess an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced.
Possess analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
Clearance Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI(T1) Public Trust Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization to work at this facility.
Physical Qualifications
Work typically in semi-office, hanger, and/or open surroundings.
May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail and are exposed to fumes or airborne particles and electrical shock hazards.
May be required to read dials/gauges and identify small objects and hand tools.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb.
Occasionally lifts object up to 50 pounds.
Most heavy lifting is accomplished with mechanical devices.
Must be able to operate forklift, floor jack, etc.
