Purpose: Assists in the planning, developing and monitors, reviews and modifies efficient supply activity services to include the receipt, storage, issue, maintenance, inventory, material management and distribution of supplies within storage operations. Supports the SSA Manager as needed and maybe the act for during absence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises Supply operations i.e. the requisitioning, receipt, issue, storage and associated inventory control of all material and supplies necessary to support contractual requirements.
  • Supports the operation of the reparable exchange, inventory, storage and distribution activities.
  • Supports, directs and controls supply provisioning of the Prescribed Load Lists (PLL) and Authorized Stockage List (ASL), and DLA operational control.
  • Supervises and controls activities which monitor and track requisitioning, receipt of materials and supplies, inventory, consumption, reorder points, stockage levels and property accounts.
  • Monitors and develops resolutions to storage activity support functions/issues/problems, including resource and manpower management, Safety, security, supply acquisition and automated systems.
  • Monitors Material Management Section, Hazardous Material Control Center, Inspection and Classification Section, Stock Readiness, Storage Activities, Department of Logistics Agency (DLA) operations.
  • Ensures all weapons, sensitive and pilfer-able items are secured and always protected and entered into the Unique Item Tracking (UIT) when required.
  • Ensures strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
  • Adheres to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.
  • Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 5 yrs. experience in Material management.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have an intermediate level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
  • Must have progressive written and oral communications skills.
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Military MOS 92A, preferred.
  • International driver’s license prior to deployment preferred.

Certification, License & Clearance:

  • GCSS-A Certified in Supply.
  • Valid US Driver’s license required.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a CAC, if required.

Facility credentials/authorization required:

Must be able to obtain and maintain facility and credential /authorization:

Note- US Citizenship is required for facility credential/authorization at this work location.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

  • Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
  • When performing work, responsible for adhering to environmental, safety, and health standards related to the activity, including the wearing of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
