Our NORAD Operations Group
Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:
• Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
• Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
• Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
• Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
• Software development and integration.
NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:
• Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
• Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
• Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
• Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
• Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world
Description of Duties:
The System Administrator supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:
• Install/configure and troubleshooting of RedHat servers, Windows servers, NetApps, VMware vCenter, ESXi, Horizon, VDI’s, NetBackup, Oracle Databases 11g and Microsoft SQL. Develop and document technical processes and procedures.
• Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with teammates and vendors; evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.
• Ensure necessary administration tasks are completed, recommend, and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
• Working close with customers and resolving their technical issues.
This position will be filled and work onsite at Colorado Springs, Colorado

Basic Requirements:
• Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance
• 5 years or more of general work experience
• 2 years or more of directly related experience
• Experience in Systems Administration of complex applications on Windows and Unix/Linux platforms.
• Experience with Linux and Windows system administration including installing and configuring systems from the OS level up.
• Experience with VMWare installation and configuration and Systems Administration of EXSi hosts, deploying and configuring VMware vCenter, configure virtual storage using ISCSI and NFS storage.
• Experience with Information Assurance policies and procedures and the ability to apply IA requirements to an existing system, experience with applying group policies from Active Directory.
• Experience with scripting languages (developing, debugging, and maintaining)
Desired Requirements:
• Technical aptitude and ability to administer Windows Server 2016 and higher, VMware 6.7 or higher, NetApp
• Network services including DNS, DHCP, NPS.
• Authentication services including Active Directory, Radius, NPS.
• Server support including Linux, Windows, VMWare, VMware Cloud Foundation
• Ability to troubleshoot and accurately identify root causes of infrastructure issues.
• Strong collaboration capabilities to work closely with Government customers and Agile Teams.
• Knowledge of Containerized Virtual Environments Preferred.
This position is expected to pay $100,000 - $114,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
