OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, security, and reliability of our organization’s IT operating system environment and infrastructure. This includes managing servers, hardware, and software, as well as providing onsite technical support for other teams and end users.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform daily On Site Datacenter Support

2. Provide Datacenter Hardware Support and Maintenance as required

3. Maintain Datacenter Rack Drawing and documentation as required

4. Perform Monthly Server Patching (Windows Server Update Service)

5. Remediate Server vulnerabilities based on scan results within the required 30 day timeframe

6. Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly Operational Tasks on or ahead of schedule.

7. Provide onsite technical assistance and support to other lines of service

8. Provide onsite technical assistance and support to end-users.

9. Managing routine morning checks of systems and environment and provide any subsequent remediation.

10. Perform Annual reviews of IT infrastructure systems to verify integrity and compliance.

11. Participate in IT projects and initiatives.

12. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Along with recording and tracking changes made to the IT infrastructure environment.

13. Manage virtual environment using VMWare’s vSphere and ESXI.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, and EXPERIENCE

Education : Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or other scientific or management field. Experience in lieu of education considered.

Experience

Minimum of 7 years’ experience.

Licenses : No licensure required.

Certifications: No professional certifications required.

  • No clearance requirement but the contract and/or the site requires US Citizenship to be approved for access. (includes NACI / T1, MRPT, CAC): Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

1.Familiarity with WSUS administration

2. Proficient in Data center monitoring and maintenance

3. Proficient in Server administration

4. Proficient in Help desk tier 2 support

5. Proficient in UPS Device Management and Monitoring

6. Proficient in vSphere administration (skill)

7. Proficient in Print server administration (skill)

8. Familiarity with Commvault administration (desired)

9. Familiarity with RedHat Linux administration (desired)

10. Proficient in communications skills, organizational skills and independent and autonomous working

11. Ability to lift 50 lbs

12. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while handling multiple priorities

13. Ability to provide up to date and accurate reporting to management and customers

14 Ability to adapt to new technologies, skillsets and to learn quickly

15. Ability to motivate, influence and drive co-workers.

16. Proficient in creating and updating documentation for common issues and processes to contribute to the team's knowledge base

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical Activities:

Medium work–frequent squatting, bending, stooping, and kneeling. Occasional work on uneven surfaces. Lifting or exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not require any supervisor responsibilities.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Core Hours: 7am – 7pm

Location: Weldon Spring

Travel: Less than 5%

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $89,441.09 - $113,243.96 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
