Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).



Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:

Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.

Mitigation of orbital conflicts.

Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.

Operations and maintenance of classified communications.

Software development and integration.



NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:

Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado

Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado

Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska

Vandenberg Space Force Base, California

Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world





Description of Duties:



The Systems Analyst supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:

• Analyze Current Systems: Evaluate existing computer systems and procedures to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.

• Design Solutions: Develop and recommend new systems or upgrades to existing systems based on organizational needs and technological advancements.

• Consult: Collaborate closely with management and stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into technical requirements.

• Implement: Oversee the installation and configuration of new systems, ensuring they meet specified requirements and integrate smoothly into the existing infrastructure.

• Test and Troubleshoot: Conduct tests to ensure systems function as intended, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective measures as necessary.

• Document and Train: Prepare documentation and provide training to end-users on new systems and processes.

• Research and Development: Stay updated on emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization’s operations.

This position will be filled and work onsite at Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Basic Requirements:

• Certification Requirements: IAT Level II or higher

• Clearance: Active TS with SCI eligibility required to apply

• 1 year or more of general work experience

• 1 year or more of directly related experience

• Ability to analyze complex systems and identify issues, along with problem-solving skills to develop effective solutions.

• Strong understanding of computer systems, hardware design, and software development processes.

• Ability to work collaboratively with IT teams and other departments to achieve organizational goals.

• Perform cradle-to-grave duties, including designing, developing, documenting, creating, testing, analyzing, and modifying software, hardware, and system functional specifications as provided by the customer.

• Consult the end users to determine if the tools and system functional specifications are met.

• Analyze and configure all cybersecurity tools, optimizing and fine-tuning them to enhance proactive network defense and monitoring capabilities.

• Must be capable of supporting the CMSFS 24x7x365 environment using independent judgment

Desired Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders

• Experience includes a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity compliance systems, specifically HBSS, ACAS, and Splunk.

• Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides/Anti-Virus (STIG/AV) scanning and remediation of critical findings.

• Experience with cybersecurity events includes stopping accounts, separating networks, changing access permissions, making urgent system updates, meeting DISA first responder needs, doing Security Technical Implementation Guides/Anti-Virus (STIG/AV) scans, and checking hash values.

• Trouble ticket system experience and skills (e.g., in ServiceNow, Remedy, or a similar product)

• Experience with networking and system administrator duties is a plus.

This position is expected to pay $80,000-$85,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
