Amentum is seeking a Warehouse Base Support Technician located in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The Warehouse Technician requires a working knowledge of the governing programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines. The Technician must display the ability to analytically recognize problems and take appropriate action to correct them. The Technician will be responsible for office and furniture packing and relocations; daily classified collection and destruction; bicycle management including repairs, deliveries, retrieval, disposal, and inventory; Safe and office moves and repositioning.

Job Requirements:

  • Maintain base office supply rooms; Training and Conference set-ups/breakdowns;

  • Temporary Quarters furniture installs and retrievals;

  • Conduct off base pick-ups and deliveries as needed;

  • Provide escort courier duties to/from WMA as scheduled,

  • Conduct vehicle management/inspections

  • Maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certification and possible CDL licensing.

  • Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, power trucks, forklifts, Box trucks and etc.

  • Perform duties in stocking; inventory; shipping, inspections, warehouse reorganization, palletizing, reports of discrepancies/damaged material.

  • Deliver materials to prescribed storage locations; Store, and stack as required, palletize material in accordance with prescribed storage methods, remove material from storage, prepare for shipment and deliver if required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in stock management

  • Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certification

  • CDL licensing (preferred)

  • Must possess a government issued clearance at the time of application

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of this position. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Able to stand for 8-12 hours per day

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds / 10 Kilograms

  • Must be able to climb or use a ladder

  • Must be able to assume squatting, kneeling, or crouching position for periods of time

  • Must be able to make logical, mentally competent, and safe decisions when working on a construction site

  • High school diploma or GED

  • US Citizen

  • Valid Drivers License

  • Must have a valid government issued clearance at time of application
