JOB FUNCTION: Work in and outside the warehouse handling materials, supplies, and inventory. Transport materials and equipment between sites.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Pick up and deliver materials, equipment, and supplies in and around the local area.
• Load and unload vehicle with or without helpers, using forklifts, power jacks, and/or hand trucks.
• Pack and crate items for shipment.
• Perform other job-related work.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Possess and maintain a Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Driving record must meet employer’s insurance carrier standards.
• Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
• Able to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
EXPERIENCE: Three years’ experience operating a vehicle requiring CDL.
EDUCATION: High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to write correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
SECURITY: Must be a U.S. Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbents may work in conditions that require operating industrial machinery/power tools and motor vehicles. Additionally, incumbents may participate in work that requires walking, bending, squatting, and carrying materials throughout the facility. Workplace conditions necessitate following strict safety guidelines and the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Work tasks requiring the incumbent to lift weight more than 50 pounds requires two or more persons.
