Satellite Site Administration Clerk performs administrative and clerical duties using computer, typewriter, and other associated equipment. Issue, process, screen, and maintain aircraft maintenance records, maintenance manuals, technical directives, CDRLS, and reports within Satellite Sites.  Coordinate travel arrangements and submit expense reports for assigned personnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate travel arrangements for all Satellite Site personnel in support of detachments and site Field Service visits.
  • Responsible for submitting and tracking all expense reports for Satellite site employees.
  • Compiles and submits travel estimates for approval.
  • Compiles and submits daily, weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly reports.
  • Initiates, maintains, and completes maintenance data in the company's MIS program.
  • Coordinates parts ordering for assigned Satellite Sites logistics support sites.
  • May be required to maintain work-center technical publication annex library.
  • Maintains work center aircraft status board.
  • Maintains Satellite Site Roster for assigned personnel.
  • Drafts and submits funding approval letters to NAVAIR.
  • Orders and maintains office supplies.
  • Maintains tracking documents for Satellite Site funding to include travel, component repair, parts & materials, and engines.
  • Presents a courteous and professional demeanor when dealing with customers.
  • Complies with all established general and industrial Safety rules and regulations as applicable to the contract, facility, and job assignment.
  • Dissemination of expense reports with Government approval(s) to the Program Project Analyst.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.

CLASSIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE:

Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance records, applicable maintenance / technical manuals, publications, and forms. Demonstrate a high degree of knowledge in computer operation and keypunch skills. Must have experience in travel planning and estimating.  Must be able to type a minimum of thirty-five (35) words per minute. Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate the English language and follow verbal and written instructions.

EDUCATION / LICENSES:

Satisfactory completion of U.S. Armed Forces aviation clerical courses or other schools, or an equivalent of two (2) years of on-the-job training and/or experience required. Graduation from high school or GED required.  Must be able to meet any Government / Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.

EXPERIENCE:

Must have two (2) years of aviation clerical experience.  Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software.  One year of travel industry experience or equivalent Military/Corporate experience preferred.

EQUIPMENT OPERATED:

Computers, computer peripheral equipment, copy machine and labeling equipment.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Administrative duties that may require occasional kneeling, standing, stooping, and bending are required.  Required lifting up to 50 lbs.  Must have close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Require hearing to the normal range.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Primarily working in an office environment with minimal exposure to noise hazards.  May be required to handle hazardous materials.

POTENTIAL HAZARDS: 

Exposure to prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and keyboard input.  Possible exposure to hazardous material identified on the Safety Data Sheets.  Possible exposure to electrical shock  

WORK LOCATION: 

Office spaces, maintenance shop spaces, hangar, and flightline.  May require travel in support of detachments of unknown duration.
