The Army Aviation Tool & Parts Attendant (Army C-12, King Air - UC-35 Fixed wing program) Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in industrial establishment.

• Minimum of One-year of hands-on experience as Tool and Parts attendant required. Shift work required.

• US Citizenship is Required, to obtain the US Govt Secret Security Clearance, and for base access.

• Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in industrial establishment.

• Keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers.

• Searches for lost or misplaced tools.

• Prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed.

• Unpacks and stores new equipment.

• Visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors.

• May coat tools with grease or other preservative, using brush or spray gun.

• May attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment, using electric marking tool.

• All other duties as assigned.

• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements:

• A High School diploma or GED equivalent is Required.

• Specialized Military Training school applicable to skillset is desired.

• A minimum of One (1) year of hands-on experience in repair, modification, and maintenance of systems related to individual specialty codes.

• Must be able to distinguish color and judge three dimensional depths.

• Must have minimum 20/100 near and far vision, correctable to 20/20.

• A valid Driver's License is Required.

• Shift Work Required: Must be willing and able to work and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation. (Site runs two shifts, shift will be assigned based on Union Seniority).

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance is Required; US Citizenship is Required to obtain a Secret Security Clearance, and to obtain facility credentials and authorization (CAC) to work at this site and facility.

Additional and Physical Qualifications:

• Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for up to six hours per day and sit for up to two hours per day.

• Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders and work stands.

• Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders. May be required to carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sounds.

• May be required to lift up to 35 pounds to height of four feet and be required to lift up to 35 pounds to height of 7 feet.

• Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales. Must be able to read and interpret newspaper and typewritten print.

• May be required to operate power, machinery, hand tools, etc.

• Will be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure.

• May be exposed to extreme noise from turbine and jet engine aircraft. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts, vehicles, or aircraft.
