Purpose and Scope

Ensures that the accomplishment of all of the planning and work necessary to clean, operate, maintain, repair, and make renovations to the facility posts to a high standard. Analyzes maintenance repair requests and identifies problems and implements solutions. Responsible for the orderly flow of corrective and preventative maintenance work orders within the facilities maintenance group. Coordinates with various vendors and contractors in the maintenance and repair of equipment. For the Kennedy Propellant and Life Support Services II (KPLSS II) NASA contract manage the asset and maintenance management system by clearly showing the date and interval of last performed maintenance, next maintenance interval due date, and any missed or overdue maintenance for each asset. Work with KPLSS II staff to ensure contract requirements are fulfilled.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Store and track each component level asset within the maintenance management system, such as but not limited to: Job Plans and OMIs assigned to each asset number and the last maintenance completion date; mission essential spare parts designated from the Spare Parts Analysis (SPA) associated to each asset number; track current inventory versus SPA values; number of uses for ECUs and SCAPE suits.
  • Track updates by user and maintain previous versions in the asset and maintenance management system.
  • Update asset and maintenance management system to show completion of steps for maintenance performed with all discrepancies noted.
  • Track all maintenance discrepancies necessary to be performed on S&E and tied to parent assets. All work required for maintenance discrepancies shall be completed within 90 calendar days of identification of required maintenance or due date as assigned by the Government. Discrepancies will be categorized within asset and maintenance management system.
  • Track any parts used for performance of maintenance tasks within maintenance management system and tied to specific work order where work was performed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Eight years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; five years of relevant experience with Masters degree; or equivalent years of experience. Experience working in Maximo, MS Office programs, and other typical computer programs. Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). US citizenship is required for restricted area access.

Preferred Qualifications:  Proficient working knowledge of Maximo and MS Projects.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. Some field time may be required to meet with Engineers and customers.
