The designee is responsible for the safe and expeditious flow of air traffic within their designated

control airspace in accordance with ICAO and FAA 7110.65 regulatory guidance. Rules of separation must be applied to achieve the required separation as outlined in FAA manuals and orders. The designee will coordinate with various controllers and personnel to relay information which pertains to the aircraft and in the interest of safety of flight including emergency information. Along with controlling aircraft the designee must be able to process flight plans, control approach, departure, and arrival procedures. The designee will have a full working knowledge of RADAR/Manual approach control operations, and a fundamental working knowledge of control tower and flight planning operations.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Graduate of an approved DoD or FAA ATC course.
• Four (4) years of experience, one (1) year of experience must be from performing in a like type facility. Knowledge of ATC rules, regulations, and techniques. Shall hold one of the following radar certifications: Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) certificate, FAA or AOV Credential with Radar rating, FAA or DoD training records, or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain FAA Class II Medical Certificate

• Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
