MV-22 Site Lead – Position Description
Overview:
The MV-22 Site Lead (Team Lead) is responsible for the operational oversight and execution of all contractor maintenance activities supporting MV-22 aircraft at MCAS New River. The Team Lead serves as the senior contractor representative and is accountable for the performance of all contractor personnel on site. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining aircraft availability in a dynamic, multi-service training environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision for a workforce of approximately 70 skilled and certified maintainers across a 5x24 shift rotation, ensuring alignment with mission readiness and contractual performance requirements.
Serve as the central point of contact for all contractor-related performance issues. Promptly notify the Government COR of any discrepancies and provide corrective action plans with estimated resolution timelines.
Oversee and ensure safe, compliant execution of Organizational-Level (O-Level) maintenance, including:
Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
Maintenance documentation
Troubleshooting and diagnostics
Aircraft towing and inspections
Corrosion prevention and treatment
Component servicing, lubrication, adjustment, removal, repair, and replacement
Maintain oversight across the following functional areas:
Maintenance Execution
Maintenance Work Center Operations
Support Work Center Operations
Compliance and Oversight
Coordinate and support pilot training requirements for the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, and Japanese Defense Force personnel, for whom this site represents a single point of failure for MV-22 training.
Qualifications:
Minimum 15 years of Navy or USMC aviation maintenance experience
Minimum 5 years in a supervisory, quality assurance, or equivalent leadership role
U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Strongly preferred: prior experience supporting MV-22 O-Level maintenance
Ability to develop and maintain contractor personnel availability/non-availability schedules and proactively identify qualification gaps across shifts
