The C-12/King Air Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on the C-12/King Air 200/350/1900 aircraft.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is Required.
A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.
Union CBA Site, provides 3 levels of A&P experience, based on specific years of experience on the C-12/King Air 200/350/1900 (MDS) Mission Design Series aircraft assigned.
US Citizenship is Required to obtain the US Govt Secret Security Clearance and for base access.
Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.
These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.
Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.
Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.
Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
Reads and interprets manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements

AM-1 Requirements - Two (2) Years of A&P mechanic experience is Required, with two (2) or more years of specific C-12/King Air experience being preferred.
AM-2 Requirements - Five (5) years of C-12/King Air specific hands-on A&P aircraft mechanic experience is required.
AM-3 Requirements - Ten (10) years of FAA A&P mechanic experience, and Thirteen (13) years of specific C-12/King Air aircraft experience is required.
A valid Driver's License is required.
Mechanic Tools and Toolbox - Mechanics may provide their own Tools and Toolbox. Tools must be etched with mechanic PID and Toolbox shadowed for every tool (Recruiter will provide information).
Must have the ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
*Must be willing and able to work any shift assigned and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation, under the Union CBA. Two shifts - (Second shift - 1400 - 2230 and Third shift - 2100 - 0730).
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is Required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.
FAA A&P Mechanic (Pre-employment Medical):
Medical/Physical. All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within Ten (10) feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed Five (5) years.
Physical and Additional Qualifications:
Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.
Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.
Comply with the FAA regulations as applicable.
Know, understand and comply with the requirements outlined in the contract performance work statement (PWS).
May be required to work and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation.
Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.
