We're looking for a
Configuration & Data Management Specialist - Quick Response Team will help keep complex engineering programs running smoothly by maintaining critical records, actions, and documentation. This role blends technical document control with project coordination, making you a central player in keeping engineering and management teams aligned.
The
Configuration & Data Management Specialist - Quick Response Team key responsibilities:
- Action Tracking
- Support technical and program meetings by capturing and tracking actions in the Action Tracker.
- Review meeting minutes to extract and consolidate new actions.
- Maintain the Action Tracker to ensure accuracy and visibility.
- Follow up with responsible team members on open actions.
- Close out completed actions and update associated metrics for reporting.
- OneNote Support
- Organize and maintain shared OneNote spaces to keep information easily accessible.
- Keep OneNote and the Action Tracker synchronized for consistency.
- Populate OneNote with open work items pulled from emails related to DRDs, waivers, and deviations.
- Document Support
- Assist with document releases, approvals, and signature routing
- Support configuration management activities for engineering and program deliverables.
- Process and maintain export control documentation.
- Organize and manage controlled documentation in SharePoint.
Requisition Qualifications:This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.
- Typically has CSIH, GCIH, GSE, ISSEP or equivalent and 0-3 years of experience.
- Role typically requires an engineering degree, but experience and proven performance will be considered
- Experience in configuration and data/document management in an engineering, aerospace, or technical environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to track multiple parallel work streams.
- Comfort with digital collaboration tools such as OneNote, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work proactively with engineers, managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with NASA engineering processes or other highly regulated environments is a plus
Requisition Preferences:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project for schedule visibility and task alignment.
- Experience in a fast paced environment where high qualities of work are maintained and customer engagement is paramount.
- Previous NASA/JSC experience

Essential Functions Work Environment Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Equipment and Machines Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
Attendance Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
