Amentum is now hiring for several Subject Matter Expert V (COMSEC and Secure Device Design) – CSIA positions in support of the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services Cyber Security Division (CSD) to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment CSIA core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of CSIA and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within CSIA.

Position Description:

The candidate will work closely with the client to perform the following:

  • Provides objective advice, expertise and specialized skills in, but not limited to, supporting projects related to the individual's subject matter expertise or functional domain.

  • Prepares and deliver analysis and presentations to colleagues, subordinates, and US Government Client representatives.

  • Works independently in coordination with Government clients to meet CSIA project goals and objectives.

  • Develops plans, policies in applicable functional areas include systems engineering, network engineering, acquisition management, process reengineering, specialty engineering (e.g., communications, systems safety, quality assurance, test and evaluation, human factors, reliability and maintainability, systems security etc.), organizational planning, financial management, acquisition logistics, configuration and data information systems, and support or program management.

  • Conducts Hardware, firmware, software requirements analysis

  • Reviews existing C5ISR architecture and designs and provides recommendations for improvement.

  • Assisting CSD and its Customers with navigation through NSA, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP), Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0, and DoD Risk Management

  • Framework (RMF) certification policies, standards, and guidelines. 

  • Ensuring all CSD solutions are aligned with the DoD Cyber Security Strategy and DoD Net-Centric Enterprise Services architecture requirements.

  • Develops budgets, program/project standards and schedules.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related fields.

  • Minimum of 25 years+ of NSA certification experience, coupled with extensive expertise in COMSEC and secure device design. Key qualifications include: Subject Matter Expertise (SME): Recognized SME in COMSEC and certification, across a width breadth of link, radio and IP families. Transmission Security (TRANSEC): Proven ability to conduct comprehensive TRANSEC needs assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies. Crypto Modernization: 20 years+ of experience in cryptographic modernization initiatives.

  • Must have an Active TOP SECRET-SCI US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET-SCI Clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Army CIO/G6 programmatic requirement 

  • Demonstrated ability in Microsoft systems (Word, Excell, PowerPoint)

  • Past experience working in C5ISR and CSIA.

  • Experience with the Department of Defense and Army plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at the acquisition and support of military systems.

  • Comprehensive technical  experience in the areas of Information Assurance, Cyber Security and  Cryptographic Modernization.  

Compensation:

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $125,000 - $250,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
