Description of Duties:
The Cybersecurity Tools Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
• The Cybersecurity Tools Engineer enables cybersecurity by maintaining operational security posture and ensures information systems security policies, standards and procedures are established and followed.
• Ensure Windows and Linux logs are being collected, forwarded and reviewed with Elasticsearch.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments on containers and analyze, research, and prioritize CVEs and their remediation.
• Work closely with a team of engineers, including additional system administrators, network engineers, system engineers, and cybersecurity engineers, to provide high quality, innovative engineering services to the Government customer.
• Work with system engineers to identify and define requirements for new systems/system modifications, developing designs, and implementing and testing solutions.
• Provide subject matter expertise on cyber requirements, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), Security Requirement Guide (SRG), JFHQ DoDIN Cyber Tasking Orders (CTO). Knowledge and familiarity with SCAP tools and vulnerability scanning tools (such as NMAP, Nessus (or Tenable ACAS).
• Perform other duties related to RMF and A&A as required.

Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 4 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 2 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 0 years of general experience.
• Two years of direct experience in system administrator and cyber security.
• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance
• Must have a DoD 8570 IAT II certification such as Security + or higher
This position is expected to pay $94,700 - $119,700 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
