Amentum is seeking an Data Processing Operator A for a position on Kauai, HI. Under general supervision, this position performs Calibration Laboratory Coordinator duties for the Calibration Laboratory (RFX).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary Point of Contact (POC) for the Calibration Laboratory (RFX) and is responsible for all data processing and related record keeping.
  • Assists the Calibration Laboratory Manager (CLM) in planning, estimating, dispatching and expediting calibration workload. Provides clerical support.
  • Maintains the METER Card files and the MEASURE Inventory Database, including all data entry, history cards and new Calibration Standards (CALSTDs).
  • Controls and maintains the Instrument Calibration Procedure (ICP) Library, Technical Manual Library and the Administrative Records room.
  • Responsible for maintaining the records of all outside suppliers of support services or supplies. Processes outsourced calibration support services and updates MEASURE. Maintains the master file of Reports of Calibration (ROC), Certificate of Calibration (COC) and certification of all subcontractors.
  • Receives all calibration items and materials from outside activities and organizes incoming shelves. Reviews, identifies and resolves problems in connection with receipt and delivery of calibration items and maintains shipping documentation.
  • Determines various modes for shipping of calibration items depending on size, weight, destination and urgency. Packs and ships outgoing shipments of calibration workload, Calibration Standards (CALSTDs) and other materials.
  • Picks-up and delivers equipment for customers at Barking Sands, Makaha Ridge, and Port Allen Marine Department.
  • Reports any equipment received with obvious physical damage or mismatched paperwork. Reports 'As Found' out of tolerance condition on any calibration standard received from outsourcing: Assisting the Technical Manager (TM) with any customer notification and recall whose test equipment may have been adversely affected.
  • Responsible for the handling of customer workloads and associated documentation. Ensures that all calibration records are complete, accurate, and filed in accordance with requirements. Ensures that the computer systems are updated with the current issue of Metrology Data Products (METPRO).
  • Completes Procurement Requests when initiating a Purchase Requisition for materials or equipment that may affect calibrations performed in the Calibration Laboratory.
  • Reviews the Quality Management System (QMS), provides feedback to management and participates in Management Reviews (MRs).
  • Develops and Maintains Qualification Training Plans (QTPs).
  • Participates in internal and external audits, inspections and assists with CDRLs.
  • Manages purchase card.
  • Works in IBM Maximo.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Environmental: Customer Contact; Office Laboratory; Field Assignment; Inclement Weather

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • Two years of experience in related field
  • One year specific experience using and updating MEASURE Inventory Database.
  • Ability to perform multi-tasking (more than one task at a time) during peak periods.
  • Must have a positive attitude, willingness to learn and apply yourself, an aptitude for neatness, organization, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must be proficient in operating computer hardware, computer software and standard office equipment.
  • Must possess the following PC skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a US Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment. 

Compensation

The hourly rate for the position is $39.61 per hour. (Hourly rate set by CBA/SCA).
