We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to migrate, manage, maintain, and optimize our organization’s databases. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database design, performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and ensuring data is stored, accessed, and maintained efficiently and securely. This role involves working closely with data analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and data consumers to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of our customer’s data and data products.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of the practice of performance measurement and analytics within the Intelligence Community (IC) or the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and experience applying qualitative and quantitative methods to the analysis of organizational challenges.
  • Proficiency in database systems such as Oracle, etc.
  • Intermediate to advanced expertise in program language SQL and Python level coding.
  • Strong understanding of SQL queries, database schemas, and normalization.
  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery best practices.
  • Familiarity with database security protocols and tools.
  • Intermediate expertise in data visualization, to include knowledge of Tableau and ability to create Tableau dashboards.
  • Expertise in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to apply these skills independently and broadly to meet dynamic analytical requirements.


Clearance Required: Current TS/SCI with Polygraph

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, a quantitative or technical discipline, or another related field

Minimum Years of Experience: 7 (seven)

Preferred:

  • Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience with the customer organization or related organizations
