About the Opportunity
For our operation in Poland we are seeking a Defence Lead (Doradcy ds. Rozwoju Biznesu Obronnego).
The individual in this strategic role will be supporting Amentum in identifying and developing key business opportunities in Poland. As an independent expert, you will provide the company with market analysis, strategic recommendations, and assistance in building relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Working for Amentum Energy & Environment-International, and aligned with Amentum Mission Solutions, to build trusted client relationships, identifying a strategic pipeline of opportunities and winning defence, space & security work in Poland.

  • Establish new business leads / opportunities in Poland with value enhancing solutions.
  • Analyze competitors and assess market opportunities, and advising on expansion, strategic partnerships, and contract acquisition.
  • Creating and documenting compelling local value propositions.
  • Supporting the creation of bid documentation.
  • Networking and Relationship Management
  • Establish and maintain relationships with representatives of the Polish military, government, and defense industry.
  • Negotiate contracts and conduct high-level business discussions.
  • Represent Amentum at conferences, trade shows, and industry meetings in Poland and Europe.
  • Build long-term partnerships with key stakeholders in the defence sector.
  • Market Expertise and Analysis
  • Provide “Opening game” business intelligence / horizon scanning.
  • Establish a strategic forward demand profile of client requirements to meet the needs of the future portfolio, including client relationships.
  • Analyze procurement processes and regulations affecting the defence industry in Poland alerting the business to conflict and non-compliance.
  • Work with a one-Amentum team to tailor offerings to military client requirements.
  • Assess risks and market opportunities in the context of regulations, defence policy, and military budgets.
  • Project and Operational Management
  • Coordinate business development activities for Amentum Energy & Environment-International in Poland.
  • Support the bid for and management of the annual local sales budget and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with Amentum legal council and financial teams to ensure contract and regulatory compliance.
  • Report results and recommend optimization strategies to senior management.

Requirements

  • Military experience.
  • Extensive network of contacts within the Polish military and defence sector.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and regulations affecting the defence industry.
  • Ability to analyze the market and develop business strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in English language.
  • Flexible schedule – adapted to company and consultant needs.
  • Remote or hybrid work options available.
