Amentum is seeking a Deputy Program Manager for remote work with occasional onsite client visits to enhance and support customers' investigative efforts in Science and Technology. The ability to prioritize job responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on excellent customer service is a must.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Perform programmatic support to include the development of program plans and schedules, development of program budgets and spending agenda, attendance at and provision of oral briefings, development of implementation plans, and other written documents that describe planned, ongoing, or future operations or tasks related to contracts.
  • Synchronize customer and contractor activities to ensure mission success in current operations; coordinate future operations.
  • Oversee a workforce spread across various contracts.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining an adequate staffing and recruiting plan, including a pipeline of cleared candidates.
  • Responsible for maintaining and enhancing all onboarding/off-boarding protocols for all program personnel.
  • Serves as the POC with oversight from the PM for the following administrative/management responsibilities: team schedule and leave management, time reporting, training, travel coordination, performance reviews, evaluations, and other activities, as required.
  • Assist PM with task management, budgeting, scheduling, team coordination, quality and productivity measurement, client satisfaction, and technical and managing analytics.
  • Proficient with requirement gathering, scheduling, and tracking the status of contract deliverables.
  • Perform technical writing for contract documentation.
  • Participate in business development opportunities, including the development of the strategic growth plan for the Division.
  • Develop Environmental Health and Safety Plans, perform risk assessments, and identify potential hazards personnel could incur.
  • Deliver products under a high operational tempo, frequently adjusting priorities and flux in requirements, on time and within budget.
  • Successfully demonstrate the ability to interface effectively with senior members to develop and support technical positions, justify technical recommendations, and communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
  • Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize multiple ongoing projects.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Three (3) years of job-related experience or equivalent.
  • Experience with program management, to include: task management, budgeting, scheduling, team coordination, quality and productivity measurement, client satisfaction, and technical and managing analytics.
  • Experience working in a forensic laboratory.
  • Experience with Forensic DNA.
  • Knowledge of FBI QAS standards.
  • The above experience should demonstrate the ability to deliver products under a high operational tempo, frequently adjusting priorities and flux in requirements, on time and within budget.
  • Successfully demonstrate the ability to interface effectively with senior members to develop and support technical positions, justify technical recommendations, and communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize multiple ongoing projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft tools.
  • Position will require occasional travel.
  • Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. (Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance)
