About the Opportunity

Amentum have exciting opportunities to join our Electrical team that is based in Knutsford, Gloucester, Warrington, Newcastle & Bristol helping our clients to deliver the UKs Net Zero targets.

We are looking for adaptable and organised Electrical Engineers at any stage of their careers to join the team. We are able to offer opportunities for you to develop and grow your career with us across the UK (and international) nuclear sector.

We focus on providing support to the existing nuclear generation fleet, nuclear new build and future reactor designs in the UK, but we also support EC&I activities across the whole business. During your career with us you will:

  • Be part of the nuclear energy strategy in the UK to help achieve the net zero carbon goals
  • Build knowledge and experience in the Electrical discipline
  • Work across the project lifecycle from bid generation to delivery
  • Be a part of a global company driving innovation in multiple sectors
  • When you join the team your role will include:

    • A variety of work and clients - working with multiple clients in the Nuclear sector and beyond

    • Client exposure - interacting directly with key clients and their responsible engineers

    • Research - solving complex problems for existing and new nuclear stations

    • Design - developing engineering solutions to meet clients’ needs

    • Personal learning and development - With over 60 EC&I Engineers in our team (and in excess of 350 across the wider business), there is significant help and advice available to support knowledge transfer and career development


Qualifications

  • Hold a relevant engineering Degree/HNC/in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Electrical / Electronic / Control / Mechatronic Engineering
  • Be a Chartered Engineer or working towards CEng / IEng
  • Be adaptable and able to transfer existing skills onto new problems, ideally from a design background and be organised and able to work on multiple projects
  • Have a passion for solving engineering design problems using CAD software
  • Due to the nature of work to be undertaken, applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance
