JOB FUNCTION: Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, maintain, and make necessary tests on all electrical systems and equipment 600v or less throughout the facilities.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work from prints, diagrams, specification, and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs; as well as demolition, installation, testing, and inspection of work to be done on electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, or replacement of electrical equipment on AC and/or DC systems.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, modify, install, and repair electrical equipment and circuits using prints, diagrams, and test instruments.
• Test, inspect, clean, repair, dismantle, adjust, replace, assemble, maintain, and lubricate all manual or automatic AC and DC systems, electrical equipment, transformers, switchgear, control panels, regulators, and various other electrical apparatus.
• Directs other electricians and repair personnel as required.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports on electrical systems equipment, as required for maintenance programs based on all information obtained through tests.
• Install conduit, wiring and electrical apparatus.
• Read blueprints and generate bill of materials.
• Perform other job-related duties, as assigned.
• Maintain part and tool inventories.
• Perform Electrical Surveys.
• Thermal Imaging Camera of panels, switchgears, and other related electrical equipment/parts.
• Complete ADC’s as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Journeyman Electrical License.
• Thorough working knowledge of national and local electrical codes.
• Ability to write as well as comprehend written and oral instructions.
• A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights, as well as overtime, call-ins weekends, and holidays, as required.
EXPERIENCE: Six years maintenance and/or construction experience in the electrical trade required.
EDUCATION: High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master Electrician License.
• NFPA-70E Training.
• OSHA 10 Training
