Purpose and Scope: 

Installs, maintains and repairs Amentum facilities, utilities, and installed equipment. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Installs, inspects, maintains and repairs all Amentum facilities and equipment that requires mechanical abilities. This may include but not limited to refrigeration and air conditioning systems, main supply systems and water supply systems including drainage.

  • Performs maintenance and repair of all Amentum facilities, such as repair to roofs, doors, windows, electrical fittings and plumbing systems.

  • Advises the Facilities Maintenance Superintendent/Supervisor on facilities or utility systems that require repair or replacement.

  • Carries out scheduled inspections of all facilities and equipment, checking all utilities as per inspection report and carrying out all necessary repairs and maintenance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Five to ten years of relevant facilities maintenance experience with bachelor’s degree; three years of relevant experience with master’s degree.

  • Experience on a military base or other large facility is preferred.

  • Must have organizational skills and be able to understand, speak, read and write English at a beginner level.

  • Must possess a valid home country driver’s license and ability to obtain host nation driver’s license.

  • May be required to operate material handling equipment.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust U.S. Government Clerance.

  • NOTE: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

  • Works in a maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.

  • May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.

  • Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed.

  • Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs. and performing extensive work handling/lifting equipment.

  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
