Description of Duties:

The Facilities Systems Engineering Lead will be responsible for leading the facilities systems engineering team (including the facilities configuration management team) to accomplish task order specific SE/CM requirements and to align with enterprise level systems engineering practices and governance. Specific responsibilities include:

• Performing the Systems Engineering (SE) requirements for the Facilities task order(s).

• Implementing SE structure and rigor (as outlined in the INCOSE handbook) for the facilities task orders, including creation and maintenance of all Facilities processes, procedures, and other documents that support the execution of SE activities.

• Providing SE familiarization training for facilities personnel.

• Ensuring Facilities alignment with enterprise level Systems Engineering practices and governance.

• Coordinating with Project Managers and Design Engineers regarding application of SE principles to the project and design process life cycles.

• Coordinating with Facilities Configuration Managers (CM) in application of the CM process in the context of the Facilities SE process.

• Customer interactions/briefings on activities supporting the performance of SE in the Facilities department.

• Supporting Facilities Leadership in identifying and performing process improvement across the department.

• Creating and defining SE metrics in accordance with the enterprise level SE management plan to provide insight into the health of the Facilities SE team.

Basic Requirements:

• Must have an active Secret Clearance

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering discipline preferred)

• 5+ years of related Mission/Systems Engineering experience with at least 1 year experience leading teams

• General familiarity with enterprise architecture, technical baseline management, engineering review board practices, systems integration, configuration management model-based systems engineering and project management

• Must be a team player with excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills.

Desired Requirements:

• International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification is highly desired

This position is expected to pay $110,000 - $155,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
