Amentum is seeking a Field Lead and Equipment Operator to join our team on Andros Island, Bahamas to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. This position is reserved for Bahamian citizen only. Must be a citizen of the Bahamas.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Work with and lead a team of grounds maintenance crew in mowing, renovating, tree trimming and removal, bulky debris pickup, cleaning and maintaining equipment used.

• Cut lawns using hand mower, power mower or riding mowers.

• Demonstrate knowledge of plant care and safe equipment uses.

• Report directly to the Roads & Grounds manager.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. 

• 2-3 years of proven experience in operating landscaping equipment; ride-on-mower, tractors, man-lift, forklift, Bobcat, chainsaw, and handheld landscaping equipment.

• Working knowledge of tools for maintenance.

• Working knowledge of equipment operating.

• Strong work ethic and ability to contribute to a diverse team.

• Ability to follow oral and written instruction and communicate effectively in English.

• Ability to lift and carry up to (50) fifty pounds.

• Ability to pass a police record check.

• Updated Government issued driver’s license.

​Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of proven experience in performing work in a commercial landscaping organization and leading crews, preferred.
