For our team in Slovakia, we are seeking a Finance Director.

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for finance and operational functions across Slovakia and the Czech Republic, covering financial accounting, project accounting, payroll, project controls. The role includes leadership responsibilities, financial oversight, and cross-functional business support.

Scope:

Team Leadership:

  • Leading a small finance and operations team, including financial accounting, overseeing project accounting and payroll (2 to 5 direct reports)
  • Key interface with the group GDO (Group Director Operations) teams
  • Supporting collaboration across teams and locations while developing a high standard of compliance and performance.


Financial Control & Compliance:

  • Ensuring application of US GAAP and Amentum financial policies, including providing guidance and interpretation where needed.
  • Overseeing SOX control adherence to maintain a strong internal control environment.
  • Coordinating with local and international auditors, preparing audit materials/ files, and managing audit-related queries.
  • Preparing tax documentation and supporting the identification and mitigation of tax-related risks.
  • Maintaining accurate reconciliation between the local ERP system and international ERP Oracle/Costpoint.


Planning, Reporting & Analysis:

  • Managing the monthly reporting cycle, including Actuals vs. Plan vs. Forecast, along with supporting variance analysis and regular business reviews.
  • Preparing and monitoring annual budgets and long-term financial plans in assigned functional areas.
  • Management and reporting of risk and opportunities analysis and reporting to group
  • Management and liaising with business development on new opportunities and managing these through CRM and Oracle Hyperion reporting tools
  • Providing cash flow management and forecasting to support financial stability.


Strategic & Operational Support:

  • Maintaining and updating the internal pricing policy, with a focus on ensuring gross margin and EBITDA controls in place
  • Supporting the implementation of new processes and cross-functional projects as required.
  • Acting as a finance partner to operational departments, offering proactive analysis and decision-making support.
  • Producing adhoc financial reporting as required.


Requirements:

  • CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent accounting qualification
  • Ability to work independently and adaptability
  • Ability to work cross functionally with senior non-financial staff and work collaboratively
  • Proficient IT skills, especially in Microsoft excel
