Overview: 
This position provides Subject Matter Expert oversight on all duties and responsibilities such as: the development and execution of mid to long range plans in the planning horizon at the operational level; interacts with U.S. Government counterparts at the brigade and sustainment command level; monitors the current operation and determines implications for operations within the midrange planning horizon. Will also serve as the fusion between plans and current operations; coordinates with the Army Pre-Positioned Stocks – 2 Current Operations Section to provide information for maintaining situational awareness of and modification of current operations to achieve current Army Pre-Positioned Stocks – 2 mission objectives, assists in the development of comprehensive operational plans, and ensures plans properly transition to Army Pre-Positioned Stocks – 2 Current Operations for execution. The individual will also participate in working groups and updates and adds details to plans foreseen in the current operation and prepares any orders necessary to implement the sequel to the operation.
 

Duties:

1) Serve as a Subject Matter Expert of a unique, multi-disciplined team that analyzes initial equipment requirements for U.S. Military training/exercises and formulates plans, schedules, reporting, and logistical requirements.

2) Conduct multi-disciplined research, production, and assessment to deliver informed operational-focused recommendations for course of action development and concept of operation production.

3) Increase situational awareness through the facilitation and management of initial program conferences and reviews.

4) Plans mission operations for the Army Pre-Positioned Stocks – 2 programs across Europe.

5) Act as the primary communication link that integrates and manages sensitive data and reports to support Military Decision-Making Process.

6) Prepares detailed plans which support the execution of Army Pre-Positioned Stocks – 2 and Amentum policies and strategies based on customer needs.

7) Determines future training needs for Amentum employees.

8) Establishes the composition of employees required to support plans for Army Pre-Positioned Stocks training missions and contingency operations throughout the theater of operations.

9) Documents Department of Army requests for Army Pre-Positioned Stocks – 2 equipment concerning Modified Tables of Equipment, manages Operations Needs Statements

10) Assist Army Pre-Positioned Stocks – 2 Department Managers in developing operational Concept of Operations to enable successful plan of actions for equipment readiness for issue, loan, transportation, and the return of equipment.

11) Assist in all phases of the development of Operational and Warning orders in support of the training/exercise objectives for future operations.

12) Categorize and assist in prioritizing requests for support, conduct near, mid, and long-term examination of problems associated with the applicable mission and provides data, briefings, and overlays to customer.

13) Lead a team of Subject Matter Experts in pre-deployment site surveys to determine site capabilities, additional equipment requirements, real estate and transportation needs, and any utility upgrades.

14) Co-ordinates closely with all customers to determine special requirements, and to plan for supporting workforce.

15) If necessary, provides assistance to functional areas as they achieve and sustain International Organization for Standardization 9001 standards.

16) Expected to be a quality champion by promoting, teaching, and presenting quality as a means for product improvement and efficiency and in accordance with applicable Army Regulations and Technical Manuals.

17) Responsible for the contractual and corporate compliance of work performed as it relates to quality, must interact with customer and provide glide-path milestones for success.

18) Be a Subject Matter Expert in reporting mission data to U.S. Army customer and maintain all information at no less than 95 percent accuracy unless otherwise stipulated.

19) Generate all required supply related reports, charts, graphs, data calls.

20) Provide timely, accurate and relevant information to the Operations leadership and/or Government personnel as required.

21) Should instill a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.

22) Other duties may be assigned to meet company goals and objectives.

23) Will be expected to maintain a daily timesheet and daily manning report and ensuring times are accurate.

Required Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR; An associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; 11 years of recent specialized experience.

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • U.S. SECRET Security Clearance

Preferred:

  • Driver’s license


Working Environment:

  • May be required to deploy on missions on short notice at the direction of the PMO.

  • Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively up to a 48-hour work week.

  • Must be able to endure long hours (overtime as required).
