Human Exploration Research Intern to join the team!

This is a temporary role not to exceed 12 weeks.
The Exploration Science team seeks a
Human Exploration Research Intern to support documentation of EVA analog work at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. This position is only offered in person and onsite.
Responsibilities:
- The intern would perform literature review on relevant EVA research analog work
- Provide publication support of EVA analog research activities
- Collaborate on experimental design and Human-in-the-loop testing preparation
- Other duties as assigned
Requisition Qualifications: - Currently enrolled at an accredited university.
- Completed at least 45 credit hours.
- Minimum of 2.8 GPA.
- Pursuing BS/MS/PhD student in aerospace engineering, human systems, or related STEM field
- Experience and knowledge of publication writing and literature reviews
- Interest or previous work experience
Requisition Preferences: - Human systems engineering and/or human factors related degree preferred
- Previous experience publishing work

Essential FunctionsWork EnvironmentGenerally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical RequirementsWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Equipment and MachinesStandard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
AttendanceRegular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
