Amentum is seeking a Inspector to support our U.S. Department of Energy and Counterintelligence (DOE-IN) contract. Positions will be based in Washington, D.C. With options of other locations such as West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Newport News, VA.

Responsibilities Serves as Inspector, specific duties and functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Member of either the Field Intelligence or Counterintelligence Inspections Program team.

  • Works independently or within a team.

  • Responds to specific tasks driven by IN mission requirements.

  • Conduct professional interviews and document findings to assess/integrate the implications of data for the inspections being conducted.

Requirements

  • Must possess a current Department of Energy Q security clearance and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
  • High school diploma.
  • Formal investigative training is required.
  • Must have extensive subject and domain area expertise in the specific domains of CI investigations or FI, and must successfully complete two (2) or more IN FI or CI, investigations (or have completed equivalent CIA, FBI, or law enforcement investigations) in the last two (2) years. This may be a combination of private sector, civil service, or military experience.
  • Must display maturity in assessing issues; have excellent oral and written communication skills; have the ability to identify fraud or financial or compliance irregularities of federal and security laws; and have a proven ability to perform under pressure independently or within a team environment.
  • Must have the ability to respond to specific tasks driven by IN mission requirements; ability to conduct professional interviews of DOE employees; ability to assess/integrate the implications of data for the inspections being conducted; and the ability to provide concise and clear analysis to create a single focused report with preventative or correction action plans as recommendations.
  • It is highly desirable that the individual have current direct experience conducting investigations, protecting national security program information, including nuclear weapon program data.
