Amentum has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Integration Project Manager to support the Project Delivery team in Alice Springs, NT – Australia remotely.

THE ROLE

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This role requires an experienced project controls professional with a demonstrated track record in leadership, cost and schedule integration, long-range planning, risk framework development, and building repeatable controls processes that scale across complex government programs. The Integration Project Manager is a senior member of the Project Delivery organization within Amentum's Project Controls team, serving as the primary interface to program leadership and responsible for integrating project controls and project delivery functions across Procurement, Subcontracts, Finance, Engineering, and Projects & Construction organizations.

This role is responsible for formalizing a structured, well-documented program controls framework encompassing the transition from Microsoft Project to Primavera P6, integrated scheduling standards, cost forecasting methodology, subcontract cost integration, cost and schedule performance reporting, risk management processes, and governance procedures. The Integration Project Manager will own the program's integrated cost and schedule environment from long-range planning through execution, ensuring full cost and schedule visibility across all task orders and functional workstreams, while mentoring project controls staff and providing guidance to functional organizations as necessary.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads the program-wide transition from Microsoft Project (MPP) to a standardized, integrated scheduling framework in Primavera P6, establishing project structures, coding standards, resource alignment, and configuration controls.

  • Leads long-range planning efforts, developing multi-year program schedules and lifecycle forecasts to support strategic planning, funding alignment, and resource allocation.

  • Develops and institutionalizes the program's cost and schedule risk management framework, establishing a structured qualitative and quantitative process (QSRA/QCRA), and integrating risk outputs into cost and schedule forecasts and contingency planning.

  • Oversees subcontract cost tracking and forecasting, supporting purchase requisitions (PRs), materials tracking, and procurement planning in coordination with Procurement.

  • Develops and standardizes program-level cost and schedule performance reporting, establishing clear KPIs and consistent reporting standards across all task orders.

  • Develops and maintains project controls governance frameworks, procedures, and desk instructions to establish a repeatable, scalable controls methodology across all task orders.

  • Delivers hands-on training and coaching to Project Control Analysts and project managers on P6, scheduling methodology, cost forecasting, risk processes, and reporting standards.

  • Serves as the primary integration point between Project Controls and support organizations, ensuring cost, schedule, and scope remain aligned and visible across Procurement, Subcontracts, Finance, Engineering, and Projects & Construction.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, including system configuration, resource loading, baselining, and configuration management

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain integrated cost and schedule baselines across complex government program environments

  • Proficiency in quantitative risk analysis methods including Monte Carlo simulation (QSRA/QCRA)

  • Strong understanding of subcontract cost management, PR development, materials tracking, and procurement planning

  • Proven ability to develop governance frameworks, standard operating procedures, and project controls guidance documentation

  • Demonstrated experience delivering formal project controls training to project managers and controls analysts

  • Demonstrated expertise in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) implementation and reporting per EIA-748 guidelines and ability to scale best practices

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to integrate across multiple functional organizations

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in Project Controls on government programs

  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience with Primavera P6

Desirable

  • Ten (10) years of leadership/supervisory experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines.

STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Able to fluently read, write and speak English

  • USA citizen with TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain appropriate level of security clearance

  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality material with keen attention to detail

  • Must be able to work extended hours, often with short notice, to meet deadlines

EHS REQUIREMENT

TRAVEL

This position is primarily remote, requiring occasional travel of up to 10% for Temporary Duty (TDY) assignments to support on-site operations and key deliverables in Alice Springs, NT.
