Position Overview

The Intelligence & Cyber Cleared Senior Talent Acquisition Lead will provide comprehensive oversight and support for full-cycle recruitment across all Amentum programs in Australia. This role is vital in ensuring the successful sourcing, selection, and onboarding of top talent to meet the organization’s strategic workforce objectives. Partnering with corporate recruitment teams, functional managers, and HR administrators, the Talent Acquisition Lead is instrumental in aligning recruitment strategies with organizational goals.

Purpose and Scope

  • Act as a subject matter expert in recruitment processes, offering timely guidance and advice to employees and management alike.
  • Contribute to the design, enhancement, and implementation of recruitment strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee HR Information Systems (HRIS) and data management, driving efficiency and ensuring compliance with recruitment-related KPIs.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate recruitment data to monitor trends and proactively address recruitment pipeline needs.
  • Ensure compliance with DISP accreditation pre-screening requirements.
  • This role has a measurable impact on the success of Amentum’s Australian workforce and is critical to ensuring the team meets its hiring needs efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate job descriptions and organizational structures in collaboration with the HR Administration Team and managers.
  • Manage advertisement, screening, interviews, reference checks, and administrative processes for recruitment.
  • Deliver training to managers on recruitment processes, empowering them to hire effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental practices while promoting a safe workplace culture.
  • Support the development of staffing plans and benefit programs in alignment with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

Minimum Essential:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in human resource management or recruitment.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment processes, human resources policies, and procedures.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships across all organizational levels.

Desirable:

  • Certificate IV in Human Resources and/or Workplace Training and Assessment.
  • CPHR / FCPHR or PHR / SHRM-CP certification.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.

Tickets and Licenses

Minimum Essential:

  • Valid Driver’s License

Experience and Skills

  • Strong experience with HRIS, MS Office, and recruitment-related systems.
  • Proven ability to design and implement HR or recruitment policies and procedures.
  • Skilled at motivating teams and driving collaboration within multi-functional contexts.

Work Environment and Physical/Mental Demands

  • Primarily desk-based and sedentary in nature, with occasional lifting of items (up to 5kg).
  • Requires the ability to work collaboratively and maintain focus in a dynamic environment.

Security Clearance Requirement

  • Secret (US) or NV1 (AUS)
  • Employment is contingent upon obtaining and retaining the required security clearance and passing applicable medical clearances.
