Amentum is seeking a Lead Inspector to support our U.S. Department of Energy and Counterintelligence (DOE-IN) contract. Positions will be based in Washington, D.C. With options of other locations such as West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Newport News, VA.

Responsibilities Serves as Lead Inspector, specific duties and functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Selects team members to participate in inspections; and works with inspection program staff, plan, organize, schedule inspections; make specific work assignments to inspectors
  • Periodically serves as a Lead Inspector, ensuring that input from all inspectors are collated into inspection program products for distribution to the Directors and the Secretary of Energy; and represent and defend inspection products.
  • Serves as member of either the FI or CI Inspections Program team and conducts physical reviews---inspections---being done at facilities throughout the DOE to ensure compliance with the Secretary, DOE and intelligence directives.
  • Documents interview results for assembly in report

Requirements

  • Must possess a current Department of Energy Q security clearance and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in from an accredited university or college. An advanced degree in a business discipline is desirable.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in conducting and managing law enforcement, criminal fraud, financial, or counterintelligence investigations with a federal agency.
  • Experience in conducting/managing law enforcement, criminal, fraud, or investigations from a financial point of view.
  • Ability to construct a net worth profile on selected individuals selected by DOE management.
  • Ability to conduct professional interviews of DOE employees; and ability to assess/integrate the implications of data for the inspections being conducted.
