LN-Environmental Specialist (AUG)-Lead

Objective:

This position monitors and oversees efforts in the environmental section of P2GLS work at Soto Cano Air Base. The specialist will have knowledge of the following:

Knowledge of Globally Harmonized System (GHS), Pictograms and Signaling

-Criteria for evaluation/inspection of infrastructure and conditions for Waste Management/Recycling, Water and Wastewater as well as Hazmat/HAZWASTE classification, storage and/or disposal

-Experience in waste streams reduction (leak composting, recycling)

-Experience in Environmental Performance Reporting

-Ability to Develop trainings from established regulations, plans and policies

-Experience in providing/replicating environmental trainings

-Knowledge & Experience in water and wastewater treatment systems, process parameters and troubleshooting

-Capacity to Interpret regulations, draft and review contract documents, environmental plans, and procedures.

Additional duties:

This position may also perform the following duties: compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques. This position prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities, compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies, and charts production using chart, graph, or pegboard displays compiled from production metrics and management statics.

The supervisor sorts and distributes work tickets, material supplies. This position is responsible for the accurate, timely, and complete updating various Army Information Systems as required.



Education:

Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering (Environmental, Civil, Industrial) (local degrees meeting criteria)

Knowledge of computer operations, software applications, and mathematics; including algebra, geometry

Licenses/Certifications:

Micro-Soft office program certification is preferred.

Experience:

Person must have at least 3 years of experience working in a similar job.


Other Qualifications:

This position requires a  valid Honduran driving license, Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
