Marine Gas Turbine Inspector - March 2026

We are recruiting an experienced Marine Gas Turbine Inspector to support operations in Rota, Spain starting March 2026. This role will focus on the maintenance, installation, testing, and repair of U.S. Navy shipboard gas turbine engines used for propulsion and electricity generation. The ideal candidate will have significant hands-on technical expertise and leadership experience in this field, along with current Marine Gas Turbine Inspector (MGTI) certification.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, installation, testing, and repair of U.S. Navy shipboard gas turbine engines for propulsion and electricity generation.

  • Lead maintenance and repair activities, ensuring compliance with Navy standards and operational requirements.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to maintain the readiness of gas turbine systems.

  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Within the last ten (10) years, a minimum of four (4) years of full-time, hands-on technical experience in the maintenance, installation, testing, or repair of U.S. Navy shipboard gas turbine engines.

  • At least two (2) years of full-time technician experience leading maintenance, installation, testing, or repair of gas turbine engines.

  • Possess and provide proof of a current Marine Gas Turbine Inspector (MGTI) certification (Navy Enlisted Classification code 4136) in accordance with OPNAV instruction 9220.3.

  • The certification must be valid at the start of employment and remain current throughout the performance period.

  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently and for extended periods to OCONUS locations.

  • Must have an active secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Advanced knowledge of U.S. Navy gas turbine engine systems and associated technologies.

  • Proven leadership skills in directing maintenance teams and managing complex repair tasks.

  • Familiarity with Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) guidelines and standards for gas turbine systems.
