Description of Duties:
The MDSEA SpOCC Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
• Lead a team responsible for critical analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of system hardware, software, and networking issues, ensuring the reliable operation of mission-critical systems
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership:
o Own and drive the overall strategy and execution for the SpOCC, ensuring alignment with MDA, IRES and MDSEA objectives.
o Provide clear direction and vision to the SpOCC team.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship:
o Lead, mentor, and train SpOCC technicians, fostering a high-performance team focused on proactive incident management, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Incident Management Ownership:
o Take full ownership of IT incident management and escalation processes.
o Oversee the entire incident lifecycle from initiation to resolution, ensuring effective communication with executive management and the Government customer.
o Lead Joint Operations Incident Reporting (JOIR) and Anomaly Review Board activities.
• Stakeholder Management:
o Proactively manage relationships with DCS & MDSEA Staff, other IRES TOs, RECS, and MDA representatives to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration.
• Proactive Problem Solving:
o Identify and implement system improvements and optimizations to prevent disruptions and enhance system performance.
o Use data analysis to identify potential issues and proactively address them before they impact operations.
o Maintain awareness of trending data and impacts for resolution.
• Operational Oversight:
o Oversee network and system monitoring, ensuring the proactive detection and resolution of issues.
o Lead troubleshooting efforts in dynamic, time-constrained scenarios.
• Flight Test Support:
o Provide support of Flight Test execution, ensuring seamless operations during critical events.
• Documentation & Process Improvement:
o Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the SpOCC.
• Communication & Reporting:
o Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and executive-level audiences, providing clear and concise reports on system status, incidents, and planned activities.

Basic Requirements:
• Must have 8, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
o May be reduced with completion of advanced education
• Must have 4, or more, years of directly related IT experience
• Must have 2, or more, years of experience working in a management or leadership role
• Must have 1, or more, years of MDSEA SpOCC experience
• Must have experience with SolarWinds
• Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (i.e. Security +)
• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements:
• Have Missile Defense Agency or Department of Defense experience
• Have experience with DoD and DISA Information Assurance programs.
• Be able to interpret data and conclude meaningful insights to support inform decision-making
• Be able to actively problem solve, identify issues and evaluate potential outcomes that lead to positive solutions.
• Have experience using the Remedy software action request system.
• Have developed leadership skills, providing motivation and support to different teams
This position is expected to pay $ 120 ,000 - $ 142 ,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
