Purpose/Scope


Works as a team-member to perform Audio/Video (A/V) services to include recording, duplicating, video teleconferencing (VTC), installing and maintaining broadcast setups to ensure flawless presentations. The Media Specialist makes strategic decisions in concert with Auditorium Staff, to execute and deliver on those decisions to support the Client’s customers A/V needs within the auditorium and for special event setups. Establishes and maintains effective customer service relationship with Client.


Responsibilities


Assists with A/V setups to ensure quality of services is met, inspects A/V equipment condition and reports discrepancies to the A/V Supervisor. These setups/services include but are not limited to: Sound reinforcement. Video dubbing and recording. Video documentation. Patch and route Audio/Video signals using AMX Touch Panel or patch bay. Operating remote controlled cameras. Documents and logs recorded media.

  • Coordinates with Auditorium Staff to resolves all customer complaints/issues.
  • Follows all branch policies, plans, and procedures to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Complies with all company and client administrative and safety directives, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinates with A/V Supervisor and/or client personnel to execute work to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Ensures Government Furnished Equipment is properly maintained and accounted for.


Minimum Knowledge

  • Ability to execute work necessary for branch and contract success while adapting to a changing environment.
  • Ability to work as a team player while working cohesively with all levels of client, customer and AECOM to ensure contractual success.
  • Understanding client base, identifying their needs, and how to interact with them.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs., prolonged standing and walking.
  • Communicates in clear and professional manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with a wide variety of audiences (e.g., customers, A/V technicians, engineers, management, etc.).
  • Must be willing to work overtime.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of Audio/Video experience (Preferred).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a Top-Secret Security Clearance with CI or Full scope Polygraph.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office products, primarily the use of word processing, database applications, presentation, and spreadsheet software.


Work Environment


Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 25 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal and scanner, constant use of sight abilities while scanning documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
