The Medical Clerk is responsible for assisting in maintaining an effective and efficient medical Stock Record Account (SRA). Responsible for administrative functions. Assists the SRA with receipt, inspection, inventorying and storage of medical supplies and equipment for all assigned GPMS projects. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

Principal Accountabilities

  • Prepares, distributes and files all incoming and outgoing general correspondence.
  • Maintains CD-ROM's and printed medical material publications reference files to include, standard Air Force publications, stock lists, Standards of Allowance, local policies and procedures and commercial catalogs.
  • Maintains and disposes of administrative files and records related to the Stock Record Account function.
  • Assists Confidential Clerk with quality control of all data entry into the Medical Supply Computer System from all sites.
  • Processes Medical Supply Computer System transactions to support inventory control and updates quality assurance records.
  • Prepares, submits and tracks all medical work under submissions and supply requisitions.
  • Assists in maintaining and inventorying the medical Organizational Equipment listing.
  • Reviews the TRIMEDS (Tri-Service Medical Excess Distribution) site to determine if any excess material is available to fill local GPMS Shortages.
  • Requisitions excess through Medical Supply Computer System and upon receipt updates Medical Supply Computer System records ensuring that material is filed under the proper GPMS project and section.
  • Reports local excess through Medical Supply Computer System to the Air Force Medical Logistics Office (AFMLO) or Air Force Depots.
  • Assists in pulling and preparing local excess for out shipment or turn-in to Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office.
  • Prepares all out shipment or turn-in documents, processes appropriate loss transactions in Medical Supply Computer System and updates excess storage location database.
  • Performs other duties related to sound administrative and Medical Supply Computer System management practices as directed by supervisory personnel.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Works in normal office and maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to understand, speak, read and write English at an intermediate level.
  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.
  • Must have the ability to type 30 words per minute in English.
  • Must be able to read and understand shipping documents and computer listings.
  • Should be able to work well with numbers.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years' experience in administrative function required.
  • Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed.
  • Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
